Diggers are urged to check daily beach status and have a valid license before making the trip.
Razor clam digging is set to return to Washington’s coast later this week, with several beaches opening through the Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend. Fish and Wildlife officials say Long Beach, Twin Harbors, Copalis, and Mocrocks are scheduled for digs between Thursday and January 21, depending on tide conditions. Each opening still requires last-minute marine toxin testing by the state health department. Diggers are urged to check daily beach status and have a valid license before making the trip.
