The state has added more fishing days for Westport this month. Managers with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife are adding halibut fishing days not only to Westport but to Ilwaco as well. The new dates are as follows: June 9, 11, 16, 18, 23, 25, and 30 for the Washington North Coast subarea and June 13 and 20 for the Columbia River subarea. Meanwhile the department will hold a virtual meeting this Wednesday evening to present the 2023 season harvest summary and review the Pacific Fishery Management Council catch sharing plan.
