Authorities in Mason County are asking residents to be on the lookout for Wire thieves. According pot a post on social media, the Mason County Sheriff’s office says CenturyLink has lost $100,000 from wire thieves at several different locations. The thefts have affected business and home phone service including services to Mission Creek Correctional Center. The sheriff’s office says Suspects are using power tools, cables with hooks, ladders, or possibly “an older yellow bucket truck.” Anyone that witnesses suspicious activity regarding these thefts should contact the sheriff’s department immediately.
