There will be no rate increase next month for Grays Harbor PUD customers. In a Monday press release it was announced that the PUD board voted not to move forward with the 2 percent increase set to take effect April 1st. According to the release, a report issued this month showed that cold, wet conditions and a strong close to 2021 would allow the utility to absorb any additional costs without passing higher rates onto customers. Board members added they hope this can provide some peace of mind to residents and business, many of which are still feeling the financial strain brought on by the COVID pandemic.
