Councilors unanimously approved a five percent wage increase for 2026.
City workers in Long Beach are set to receive a pay raise next year following action by the city council. Councilors unanimously approved a five percent wage increase for 2026, a change that had already been planned for in the city’s budget. The raise applies to most union and non-union employees but does not include police officers or the city administrator. City officials say police pay remains under separate contract negotiations.
