While dogs trained to sniff out illegal drugs.
The Aberdeen school district teamed up with Aberdeen police and Quinault Nation police for a drug sweep at the high school yesterday. According to a press release from the school district. The high school was placed on a modified lockdown while dogs trained to sniff out illegal drugs went to each classroom, as well as by each students backpack and all the gym lockers. During the sweep the district said the dogs did alert to several backpacks which were turned over to officials for the next steps. School officials say the exercise was done in an effort to keep students safe and the campus drug free.
