Fire At Port Of Ilwaco

There were no reported injuries following the fire Monday at the Ilwaco Landing building at the Port of Ilwaco.

There were no reported injuries following the fire Monday at the Ilwaco Landing building at the Port of Ilwaco. Pacific County officials did issue a social media statement telling the public to stay away from the area and that the smoke from the fire was hazardous and should be avoided. Emergency officials issued a community protection announcement asking nearby residents to close windows and doors. By last night the fire had been knocked down although crews remained at the site overnight watching for hot spots. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
