The fire took over 2 hours to put out.

The Hoquiam Fire Department Facebook page reported a wildland fire at the Old Wills Mill site on Saturday. The fire is suspected to have been caused by fireworks that were heard in the region. The FB post reminds you that fuels are very dry this time of the year and even an ember can cause a fire. On Sunday morning, the Hoquiam Fire Department was called out to a driftwood fire near the airport runway. The Facebook post said this fire took over two hours to put out.
