Students who want to learn more about firefighting and the science that goes into it have a unique opportunity. The Aberdeen Fire Department and the Twin Harbors Skills Center are teaming up to offer a Fire Science training course this summer. The program will cover basic firefighting techniques including personal protective equipment, portable fire extinguishers, water supply, use of self-contained breathing apparatus, and more. This course is offered free of charge to most students in Pacific and Grays Harbor counties, but you must register.
