A Hoquiam family loses a pet in a weekend house fire. Hoquiam Fire was dispatched to a house fire on Saturday afternoon on Karr Avenue. Grays Harbor Scanner reports one person ran back inside the house but did make it back out. Sadly, a family dog in the home at the time of the fire did not make it out and died. One person was treated on scene for smoke inhalation. No reports of fire fighters being injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
