Razor Clam Diggers have warmer weather and a new set of dig dates that begins today.
Razor Clam Diggers have warmer weather and a new set of dig dates that begins today. State shellfish managers approved the latest round of dig dates late last week. Coastal shellfish biologists say digging has been good so far this season on all open beaches when the weather and surf conditions cooperate. Optimal digging occurs between one and two hours before the listed time of low tide. The dig dates run from today through January 28th and as a reminder, digs are not allowed on all beaches every day. See the state’s website for specific dates and times.
