The city of McCleary is now accepting letters of interest for an open seat on the city council. A social media post from the city says that Jenna Amsbury has resigned from her position. Since there are no wards in McCleary, anyone who has lived inside the city limits for at least a year and is a registered voter can apply. Council members receive a $100 per month salary. The person selected would serve until the end of this year and then the winner of the November election would take the seat. Resumes and letters of interest are due into the city by September 29th.
