The Hoquiam City Council has selected a new member. Following the resignation of Ward 4 councilman Al Dick in February, the city has been asking for letters of interest from residents who live in the district. There were four candidates who showed an interest in the vacant position and on Monday, after all four applicants spoke to council, Greg Larson was appointed to fill the vacant city council seat. Larson grew up in Hoquiam, graduated from high school here and joined the military. He now owns several business properties within the city. Greg Larson will be sworn in on April 24th.
