After 29 years of service.
After 29 years of service, Aberdeen’s Fire Chief is retiring today. Tom Hubbard announced his plan to retire back in February. Earlier this week, the Aberdeen City council approved a recommendation for Assistant Chief Dave Golding to take over as interim chief. Back in May, a meeting of the personnel committee took place to discuss recommending Golding to step in once Hubbard retired. Interim Chief Golding will receive a 5 percent pay bump that will stay in place for as long as he’s in the interim position.
