  Aberdeen has close to 20 parks spread over approximately 273 acres of within the city limits. An additional 150 acres have been developed for community use.

• Park Board

• Park Board

  The Aberdeen Park Board meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. on the 3rd floor of the Aberdeen City Hall. More information on the role of the Park Board can be found in the Aberdeen Municipal Code 2.60.

• Special Events & Park Reservations

  The city encourages the use of city property and rights of way for public events sponsored by private groups, such as parades, rallies, walk or run-a-thons, arts and craft shows, flea markets, exhibitions, street fairs, and similar events.

• Bloom Team

  The Bloom Team is a group of 16 to 20 volunteers that met on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays at the City of Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department, form teams and, from their cover the downtown core area weeding, trimming, and caring for the plants in the aggregate planters as well as other remedial duties to help keep our downtown corridor color, clean, and an exciting place to be.

• Downtown Beautification Project

  The Aberdeen Parks Department partnered with Aberdeen Beautification Committee, and is now spearheading a drive to enrich and beautify the downtown corridor by providing and maintaining a beautiful array of plants and flowers.
