Fire crews stayed busy in August, logging 176 calls across East Grays Harbor. Most of those – 125 – were medical emergencies, with the rest fire and service-related. Crews say about a third of the calls overlapped, including two instances where they were juggling three emergencies at once. The fire district says it highlights just how stretched their teams can get during peak demand.
