A former Grays Harbor County judge says he was wrongly arrested for DUI, and now he’s suing the county. David Mistachkin filed a federal lawsuit this week claiming deputies violated his rights when they jailed him even though his blood alcohol level tested at just .017 well below the legal limit. The arrest happened back in February, while he was still on the bench, running for re-election. The lawsuit names three deputies and Grays Harbor County as defendants, saying there was no probable cause for the arrest. A federal judge is reviewing the case, which could head to court later this year.
