Hoquiam Police are still investigating after a 12-year-old was hit by a car on Friday. The incident happened at about 6:45 on Friday evening on Simpson Ave. near the YMCA. Reports say the child was crossing the street when a 22 year old woman in a passenger car hit the 12 year old who was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. There was a passenger in the vehicle, and police say although they have interviewed multiple witnesses, they still have not determined if alcohol played a factor in the incident.
