Officials recommend running cold water to clear any sediment and flushing hot water tanks afterward if used.
Hydrant flushing begins next week in Ocean Shores as part of routine water system maintenance. The city will flush hydrants May 13–14 from Albatross Street NE to Magellan Avenue NE, and again May 27–28 from Ocean Lake Way to Pacific Boulevard NW. Residents may notice temporary water discoloration and are urged to avoid using hot water between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on those days. Officials recommend running cold water to clear any sediment and flushing hot water tanks afterward if used.
