A man has died after being swept into the water while fishing at Half Moon Bay in Westport.

A man has died after being swept into the water while fishing at Half Moon Bay in Westport. The Grays Harbor County Coroner’s Office says 52-year-old Keith Jones of Lakebay was caught by incoming tides and waves and could not be revived after bystanders pulled him from the water last Thursday. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death, and his family has been notified. Officials are reminding beachgoers to stay aware of changing conditions and consider wearing flotation gear near the surf.
