Pacific County Emergency Management is urging residents to secure food and garbage following several black bear sightings. A South Bend homeowner reported a large bear raiding a garbage can on a porch along Second Street West. Other recent sightings were reported along Raymond-South Bend Road and on the Long Beach Peninsula. Residents should report non emergency sightings to the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and call 911 for an immediate threat.
