Claiming you’ve missed jury duty or have a warrant for your arrest.
Another old phone scam is making the rounds… scammers are pretending to be law enforcement, claiming you’ve missed jury duty or have a warrant for your arrest. The Mason County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve received reports of these citizens receiving these types of calls. Officials stress they will never call and demand money, so if you get one of these calls, just hang up. If you’ve been targeted, report it to the Sheriff’s Office to help stop the scam.
