The president and co-founder of North Beach PAWS has announced she is stepping back from her leadership role at the longtime animal shelter. Lorna Valdez has been involved with North Beach PAWS since 2002, an says while she has enjoyed her time there, the next chapter in her life is waiting. Vice President Carol Jamroz will move into the top leadership role and Valdez has said she is not totally leaving, so there will be a smooth, seamless transition. The changes take effect immediately.
