According to the release, from Friday May 26th through Monday May 29th, troopers made 814 traffic stops for speeding, 265 for aggressive driving and handed out 58 seat belt violations and 17 tickets for distracted driving. Troopers in district 8 responded to 30 crashes that weekend with one being a fatality. Meanwhile since the start of 20203, District 8 troopers have made 467 arrests for DUIs.
