A chase through Belfair ended with one man in cuffs and a wrecked truck on flat tires.

A chase through Belfair ended with one man in cuffs and a wrecked truck on flat tires. Mason County sheriff’s deputies say the driver tore through town at 70 miles an hour, blew past the Elementary school, and sped the wrong way down Highway 3 before spike strips finally brought him to a stop. He ran into the woods but didn’t get far after two deputies ran him down. The man later told investigators he fled because he was high, had a suspended license, and thought he had a warrant out for his arrest.
