Mason County deputies are sharpening their search and rescue skills with helicopter training this week. Mason County Sheriff's Office says the Special Operations Rescue Team took part in exercises focused on safely reaching and extracting people in difficult conditions yesterday. Officials say the training helps crews stay ready for time-sensitive emergencies. The department also highlighted the role of volunteers and partner agencies in these operations.
